    Prop 8 just got reveresed

After doing some searching I found this on a legal website that was discussing marital privilege and testifying against a spouse: "The determination of whether a marriage is legal depends on state law." Marriage, at least in the past, has been the jurisdiction of the states and is NOT...

    Engine coolant recycling?

You could bottle it up and sell the old antifreeze, thats what TearAPart does. I've taken mine to the place in Murray in the past but don't have much laying around now cause I gave it away to guys picking up jeep parts.

    POR 15 question

I use POR15, it works well on frames or other rusty metal. The only metal that I have had trouble with is new metal. I have the metal prep and cleaners but the POR still doesn't seem to stick well to the new stuff.

    Relic Run movie stars

I got home last night after an afternoon of catching nice brook trout in Murdock basin and flipped on Roughin it Outdoors and the show was up in Murdock and all about the Relic Run. So we now have a whole bunch of movie stars on RME. I wish I had the Commando finished so that I could have joined...

    Jeepster ??

I have a 73 in the garage that I'm working on. The frames are similar to the older CJs but not exactly the same, bodies are different, mine only had a 44 in the rear, the 72-73 have a different front clip that is longer for the straight 6 and v8.

    XJ lift question

On the XJs that we have lifted the rub point is usually between the tie rod connection point and the track bar not the sway bar. Did you install an adjustable track bar ? If not the axle is most likely not centered correctly. Lifts of that height will also require a drop pitman arm. You can use...

    93 XJ A/C questions

I don't think you can get R12 at any of the stores any more. I have a few spare cans if you just need to top it off.

    We start them young !

You can't see it in the picture but they both had wrenches and were trying to take off loose lugnuts and valve stems. Luckily they didn't manage to take off the stems.

CJ7 - Opposite from everything you know

I'm in the middle of putting coils and long arms under my old commando and since the frames are meant for leafs stock tj coils work great. You can come by and see how I've done the suspension if you want.

    We start them young !

We were having a Jeep fix it event and had a couple of extra helpers. My 20 month old grandson and his cousin were right in the thick of the work and had a great time. We only lost a few lugnuts in the process.

    Random Thoughts

Most likely cleaning some crud off of the connectors in the game module. Often with our computers at work just re-seating cards is enough to get the connectors to make better contact and start working, so possibly the blowing on it had nothing to do with it unless your room had so much dust in...

Which power steering gear box should I use

I am fabbing up the power steering gearbox bracket and linkages for the commando project and have several power steering gearboxes laying around that I can use. I have boxes from a TJ, XJs, chevys, and a J10 truck. The chevy ones won't work and I believe the TJ and XJ ones are basically the...

    Campgrounds in the Uintas?

Take a look at Moon Lake on the south slope, there is a nice campground, a lodge, good fishing, hiking trails, and some 4x4 trails that will take you near some lakes. Another one that we like is Spirit Lake on the north slope, it also has nice camping, a lodge, lakes to hike to, and many miles...

    Slip Yoke Eliminator Kits

If I remember the 90-91 dodges had the passenger drop fixed yoke output 241 that I wanted. They may also be available in other years but I would have to check. The clocking on the dodge case is different than the chevy case but does allow a more level clocking by omitting one bolt or drilling...

    Slip Yoke Eliminator Kits

Yes it is all together and on my commando project behind a 700r4. I used the passenger drop version of the chevy and dodge 241. You use the dodge case and swap in the chevy input shaft. I also found that if you omit one mounting stud on the dodge case it allows the case to be clocked flat on the...

    XJ engine swap

Watch out for Grand Cherokee 4.0s 99 or newer, the mounts for everything are different. The newer TJ motors also have different mounts for the stuff up front. I know that a 99 TJ motor will swap into an xj but I'm not quite sure when they changed the mounts for PS alternator etc.
