I got it to pass with no problem. I found that I forgot to hook the vacuum advance line back up after I checked the timing and I also took the carb apart and made sure the power valve was working correctly.

I have a 61 inch wide semi float 5 on 5.5 D60 in the garage from a 60's vintage F100 and it has 30 spline shafts in it. I am planning on elockers, 4.56 gears and need to figure out the disk brakes for it. The one I found had 4.10 gears and a posi in it.

I used some Lucas wheel bearing grease which isn't that thick. I'm going to clean up whats left of the bad bearing to see what I can figure out from it. I'm leaning towards a failure of the locking spacer and lock pin on the inner adjusting nut that allowed things to get out of tolerance.

That looks interresting, may have to look into one if we keep on having trouble.

I'm not familiar with a stage 8 lock nut ? Did your brother's axle have the pin on the inner bearing adjusting nut and the lock ring ? If those are missing or not lined up properly the nut could come loose.
