One more thing to add. Make sure the shroud does not cover more than 1/2 the depth of the fan. If it does, the hot air just gets stuck and circulates inside the shroud....Seen it many times.

Pick up a summit/jegs catalog, you can get a C4 (Ford trans) that is set up to bolt up to the 283....C4's are one of few autos that have removable/interchangable bellhousings. I have been crawling with a C4 for 18 years;)

My thought too. Or the shortest aside from PG is a c4 to 300 with AA shorty adapter....atlas only makes it slighty longer.

When we were thinking of getting rid of the home phone, Qwest wanted $8 a month to keep the line open, and then the $35 ish for DSL....Qwest is the line provider in the Valley for DSL no matter who you use....I had Earthlink through the qwest line, now Qwest on the qwest line....not using MSN;)...
