Went out with a small group today. Had a lot of fun. Lots of carnage as things were really slippery!! Makes the easy trails tough and the hard trails funner!! Here's some pics I promised I would post up. more to come

    Dana 60 inner shafts

Sounds good. Maybe this spring. I have a 1.5" shaft out of an old LARGE pump that works well. It is threaded on both ends- I took some 1.5" I.D aluminum tubing and tapered the ends in the lathe. They slide down the alignment shaft and center the housing up. Aluminum pucks I made up for the...

Lets see the BRAINS of RME

No--- I did'nt mean you. Nothing to get over, you misread something there. I never said it would take any more runway than normal- I simply stated that the plane would need the same length runway as you have stated.

Lets see the BRAINS of RME

Yeah - I got it. All I was trying to say was that there is no need to get insulting over it. Some folks think differently than others. The conveyor cannot negate the thrust, but I qualified my statement that it would fly by saying that the conveyor must be long enough to allow the plane to reach...

Lets see the BRAINS of RME

Either that or we're smarter than you- That conveyor belt would have to break the laws of physics, so I say that while theoretically it would fly- in the real world there is no way. -Prove me wrong smart guy!

Lets see the BRAINS of RME

Glad to see it's all in fun. If we didn't look at problems with different perspectives life would be boring!

Lets see the BRAINS of RME

I called my Dad- 30 yrs working on jet engines and engineer school at Weber st.- You guys are right, but the conveyor would have to be as long as the runway normally needed to launch the plane. I see the light! But, if the conveyor was only say 60ft. long the plane would accelerate off of the...

Lets see the BRAINS of RME

I have not seen it proven, except by false logic. A wing is an air foil. In the cicumstances described no air is moving across the wing to give it lift. I f you still believe it will you need to patent this idea and sell it to the Navy so they can quit buying VTOL and using a cable to accelerate...

Lets see the BRAINS of RME

Only way it would fly is if it was one of these or some other VTOL type plane.

    Flat panel, plasma TVs?

I read somewhere that the plasma TV's only had a 6-7 year life span, so I quit looking at them after that. I'm looking into getting a projector style, hiding it in a coffee table so that it pops up when needed.

    Machining dana 60 drw hubs

You guys got me curious, so I stuck a Hummer wheel on the Dana 60 I am using: It is not on all the way- it needs to slide on 1 more inch, but the steering arm cast into the knuckle gets in the way, so add 1 inch to what you see. I need to figure out what to do about the steering arm now...
