    WTH is this about?

But you know, we got to get those evil, huge gas hog RAV4s off the road, don't we?

    More on Salt Creek

   I don't see anyone correcting anyone there. Me thinks you need to slow down and read more carefully. You seem to be looking for a throat to jump down and I can not even follow who's. I was talking about letters to the editor etc in the paper that claim...

    More on Salt Creek

I would suggest you write a letter to the editor of the Salt Lake papers and share that memory- alot of the info has talked about young males on ATVs being the main users of the trail and 'they could hike anyway'. Reality needs to be known.

That was a great letter- get the truth out! I have known Steve for years and he knows the CnayonLands area back country probably about as well as anyone. A voice of reason.

    Wheelin' in GJ

I'd disagree with that. I have seen some pretty clear claw marks on black bear tracks a number of times- esp in mud.

Killer FJ40 on EBay, from Utah.

Ya, gotta wonder who let that one pass inspetion. Must have done it with eyes closed.

    Wheelin' in GJ

About how large where they? The ones in my backyard measured 4inches by 4 inches (as a comparison, I had a 100 pound coon hound that dies a couple of years ago and his foot print we had made roughly 4x3 inch). It would be odd to see the claw marks on each print from a cougar. How many...

    Wheelin' in GJ

Are you sure it was cougar if you saw claw marks? Any cat usually has it claws retracted so you will seldom see the claw marks on a cougar tack. That canyon certainly looks like prime cougar country however! I know the ones I found last month in my kids sandbox (honest) showed no claw marks...

    go vote yes on this..........

Yes is leading by at roughly 74% (but I did not note the exact number). Looks like more work needs to be done to get people to obey the laws before we loose all our access!!!

    HELP!!! Tire damage question.

Having worked for a number of years in a tire shop, I can say that to dismount tires without some tearing is simply not possible. I would be hard pressed to say the shop is at fault in anyway. If you have not dismounted a tire, the process involves a lot of force (machine applied) to get the...

    large SUV- which is best?

That I don't know yet. The half tons are listed as having significantly higher GC, but obviously the 2500 have the edge in towing- which is a big factor in the purchase anyway. In all honesty, it might come down to what I can find the best deal on when I am ready to buy. Any suggestions...

    large SUV- which is best?

Looked at reviews over the past years for 4wheeler magazine. For off-road they love the Z71 Tahoe, don't care for the Sequia and don't like at all the Armada. With all that have learned thus far, looks like the suburban has the most advantages, with the only real down side being its size-...

    large SUV- which is best?

How about off-road though? Again, not expecting a rock crawler but anyone know if the Armada "Off-Road" package does much? I'll have to surf the magazine reviews and see what I can find.

    large SUV- which is best?

Don't be so shocked- does well. He has done it the last two years to Powell and I have towed the same boats shorter distances with my XJ before I sold it.

3 tickets. :( What can we do?

Mom being there always helps!! That might just be the solution to road rage- have Moms be standard equipment on all cars! Sounds like a situation that should be pretty easy to work out by making the repairs. Good luck.

    large SUV- which is best?

I am not big on buying a vehicle so I can change it if a stock vehicle does the job- so the 'burb wins over either Ford. One down side to the 3/4 ton vs 1/2 ton burb is ground clearance is significantly lower. The size of boat I (hopefully) will be towing does not need an extreme rig...

3 tickets. :( What can we do?

I would agree that it is best that HE contacts UHP and asks them how to prove the repairs are done (shows he wants it resolved) then do it quick according to the info they provide. It seems pretty clear that all three tickets are justifiable, so he needs to act on them. And obviously I don't...

    Utah Rave Update

The real key here is was excesive force used and by who definition? Of course those at the Rave are going to say so. I do not think I have ever heard anyone busted talk about how nice and polite the police where. Is there anything wrong with police showing up in large numbers with guns...
