Alright, if the dealer doesn't know which it is, how can I find out?

Anyone know what engines came in 79 Broncos? Found a used on that could be fun that the seller doesn't know as much about as I would like....(gotta love e-bay!)

The issue is, the towing/off-road will be same trip (hunting) thus two vehicle for seperate purposes does not work. For the rest of the towing over the year, a deferent vehicle will be used.....of course one option is to hunt out of a fairly new Suburban (what I plan to buy for most towing) but...

Am leaning more and more towards Blazer/Ramcharger etc than the Jeep. Asking some full-size jeep guys I have been surprised the ammount of lift and trimming it takes to even run 33s on a waggy. Not sure of the Burb, simple due to turning radius as much as anything. And I would tow 1-2 times...

I have left a message for the seller and have not heard back yet, so the details of the rebuild, lift etc are unknown. As I get more details, shall post them.

Alright, found a truck that might be just what I need (of course convincing my wife of that may be another story), but want to make sure I look at all the right potential problems. As you probably recall, it will not be a daily driver and will be used occasionally for towing 5-6k pounds...

Another place to watch is the UOOC site- they try to get out monthly and we generally hit mid-level trails. Site is utahoffroad.com (I would make that a link if I had a clue how to :ugh: )

Wonder what they would think if a group from USA-All, U4WDA or other club came along on a service project (if they ever actually had one)....If done kindly (goes for those attending a meeting as well) could open there eyes to who we really are.

When we went down this spring, noticed lots of roads/trails we did not have on our maps....simply getting them on the map is my suggestion!

I think I agree that would be my first choice- mostly for four doors. They also look a little narrower. True? Don't know. There are a couple on e-bay with 6-7" of lift, running 35 tires, but alas the budget says wait..
