    Montero Sport Upgrades

Thanks for the leads. I e-mailed 4x4extremesports yesterday. Seems like you spent alot of time searching for me for someone who cannot figure out who they are!

    Montero Sport Upgrades

Alright, pretty sure I have made the decesion to invest in my Montero instead of buying a seperate trail rig (unless I stumble upon a great deal before I get the work done). So, looking for info on products and shops (a mechanic I am not). Vehicle is an 03 Montero Sport, 3.5l Ideas at...

    Kane Creek 12/22

More photos as we head up the canyon. For less cropped/edited photos, see the thread on utahoffroad.com Think they look a little better. http://www.utahoffroad.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=949&PN=1

    Kane Creek 12/22

Kane Creek 12/22- photos added Gravesdiggerxj (Stratton) and I ran Kane Creek Thursday morning. Much of the creek was iced over, some crossings enough to hold the weight of the trucks, others we would break and plow on through. Do to running water we would end up breaking and pushing ice...

    Vote on best option...

When I think about how little I like spending my time fixing vehicles and looking at the trails i will probably run, I think the smartest move might be simply to put a lift (could probably then run 33s next time I buy tires) and locker on the Montero. Any suggestions on shops for such work?

    need help deciding...

If you want to do enough lift, I'd vote the waggy. Kinda want one myself.

    need help deciding...

From what I have learned, don't think it is easy to fit 39s under a waggy. Found one for sale in Colorado running 38s that used 9.5" lift and lots of trimming.

    Front yard wheelin'

Show off! Reminds me of one deer hunt using our old 77 Subaru to pull our truck with 10.5' camper our of a mud hole. Who says size matters!

snow wheelin' up by the B -- Part Deux.

Looks like fun, if you like shoveling snow. I think that is why they invented snowmobiles. "B" is the cement above Bountiful. Head up from 4th North on Bountiful and your as goos as there.

    front lockers

For what I need, I am not after front lockers, but several of the rigs I have found for sale already have them. I have heard that locked front in snow/ice results in dangerously poor control. Thoughts?

Ok, help me decide what to do for a rig

Glad to see I am not the only indecisive one around here!

    Vote on best option...

Probably the smartest comment yet!! :-\ Waiting to see what year end bonus I get so I have a firm budget. Have found some interesting possibilities out there...Leaning towards Blazer...best overall and I can live with 2 doors although a good waggy would be fun. We shall see....

    79 Bronco engine?

Thanks for the info all. Unfortunately the Bronco of interest went for more than I wanted to pay anyway.

    Vote on best option...

The voting is going about like I expected.....I must admit that except for four doors (or lack there of) the Blazer is my first choice. (include Bronco/Ramcharger since brand loyalty does not run deep for me). Rover could be fun, but how much $$ by the time it is lifted and locked? Would...

    Best full-size trail rig?

And it just happens to be for sale, eh?

    Vote on best option...

Alright, I know you are all thinking I should stop thinking and actually buy something. Soon, I hope! So, vote for the rig you think makes the best options (factors being off-road ability, reliability and limited towing of roughly 5k pounds) keeping in mind the following facts: 1) Its gotta...

    79 Bronco engine?

He figures that it is the 351, saying that was all that came in the 79. I'll lean on him to figure it out with the vin, or look elsewhere for a truck. I am not real comfotable with a long distance purchase anyway, unless it comes real cheap.
