I'd be down for sand drags. growing up near the Great Salt Lake, we used to go to the sand drags near Saltair on a regular basis. Finding a suitable location might be a problem, as well as getting proper timing equipment. Shawn would be a tough one to beat, if he was smart enough to run an...

    Heated garages

One thing to consider with electric heat is the cost of operation. For example. RM's electric heater will cost around $2.50/day to operate if he only runs it 8 hours a day. Doesn't sound like much, but it can add up in a hurry. As far as your lighting goes, floresent lights hate the cold. A...

Seasoned Gear Installers Check My Pattern!

I wouldn't hesitate to run it...... ;) I've never had to mod a 9" housing (but I'll admit, I've only done a couple). How low of ratio did you go?

    Heated garages

I'm out enjoying my toasty garage right now. :D I use a hanging, natural gas, forced air heater. Instant heat, and you can use it even durring red burn days. I've used wood in the past. It's not bad if you're out there 8 hours a day, but it takes forever to heat up. Another drawback of the...

I've done some searching on here, but theres not much in the way of good information. Anyone have any first hand expierence? I'd like to...

Have you paid your property taxes yet?

Property taxes are based on the value of the property in January 07. The market didn't really get bad till right after that. It'll be interesting to see what January 08 brings.

Have you paid your property taxes yet?

After protesting with the county, I finally settled my case and paid mine two weeks ago. The protest was worth it, but damn they make you jump through a bunch of hoops.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Model 44 Rear Axle Assembly

Why the JK model? Get the 06 and earlier model, and you'll get the right bolt pattern and width. I've had no issues with my 44 but I agree, you could build a kickass 8.8 for a lot less.

Christmas presents for the kids? Any Ideas.

I've been looking at those for my little troublemaker. Be carefull when pricing those. There's the "Green Machine" (which is actually green), and the "Green Machine H20". The H20 model has the water cannon, the other doesn't and it's about 1/2 the price.

    School me on Toy High-Steer...please

I ran the 80 ends with no issues at all. While you're doing it, consider hydo assist as well. That's probably the best single improvement I did. A little extra cost, but money well spent. Even if you don't go with it now, at least port your steering box before you install it so you can...

    thoughts?

If I remember correctly from my school days (yeah, that long ago) natural gas has an octane rating in the 82 range. As far as building goes, all the basic performance tips apply with the exception of increasing compression. If you keep your compression ratio in the 8-8.5 range, detonation will...

    U4WDA Raffle

You and Alf got me to thinking. What about a $3 ticket. Would you lay down $5 and expect change, or would you pull 4 quarters out of your ashtray and snag that extra ticket? I wonder if there's any marketing types hanging around here.
