    Narrowed Axle Jig

Charles (formerly of AFWD) is building axles. He is very reasonable!! He works out of DJ's shop. His company is Rocky Mountain Axle. He does an excellent job. I work with him at AFWD a FEW years back. He does an even better job now that Randy doesn't make him reuse crappy parts. Sorry I lost...

    Ford 44's

You can use the stock brackets, or I can send you some 2wd van brackets that work well to. (they sit against the frame like the stock ones) Depending on lift, you may need to switch bushing. I used 3 deg on mine. Marc

    Racing the Wheeler

B and I were just talking about doing that the other day. Thought it would be funny to seen the jeep/buggy and the Bronco/buggy racing with our 38's. Vonski had talked about doing it , did you? We should all get our rigs out there next year and make our own class. Marc

    Ford 44's

I left the c bushings alone and legthened the radius arms 8-10 inches. This will bring the arms back under the frame. Just move the stock brackets back on the frame. Then you just need to fab some mnts for the coil. Andy my still have my old housing with the brackets I built for it? Andy...

    CircleTrack coils and stolen ideas.....

Almost fogot, look at the radius arms on a rover or izuzu, they mnt on the frt and rear of the tube. Put them on top=flat arm, build hefty. More clearance, just as easy to mnt.

    CircleTrack coils and stolen ideas.....

Greg, you are talking about a radius arm and trac bar config. I like them especially in frt. Both my EB and Wife's XJ run radius arm set ups I built. One problem I see is that you need to bring the lower to mate with the upper a lot closer to the end. The closer/shorter the triangle, the...

    Interco Tires

Interco treated me very well when I competed in the 2001 season. They are the little guy with the best product. I will be loyal to them for exactly this kind of service. Means a lot to me that the helped out "just another guy from Utah", when GY did not want to warantee a tire I paid full price...

Best way to lengthen axle tubes

I agree, run them as is. But, if you must, you can completely replace your tubes and bearing pockets. Or, cut and sleeve the tubes. Some people do not like the idea of sleeving tubes, but I have seen it done a lot with out any failures. When I worked at AFWDS we sleeved 60/70 frts for medium...

do you need lower control arms for a 3" XJ lift?

I have done a ton of these. With 3.5" there is no need for lower arms. Rancho, procrap, tuff, warn/BD, all have lower arms that are the SAME length as stock. That said, it is better to have adjustable uppers and lowers in order to keep the axle/wheelbase where it belongs, and still get the...

Best yard in Utah to pull a 60 front?

If you find one lacally for a decent price, your very lucky!!!! I may still be able to get one in the $900 range, not local though. Yes, you can do 5 or 6 lug with 35 spline outers. Mine has a fair amount of machine work, or you can just buy the stuff from Dyna$$$$$$ Charles at Rocky...
