Then little man helped me swap a new chain and the rear tire on my Desert Sled from the bald Pirelli Scorpion STR to the Pirelli Scorpion Rally (non STR has wider spacing and deeper lugs).

I cooked it with some burn outs Saturday LOL 😂

And I got a little groovy on the front tire to hopefully gain a little more lateral traction here too.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
Built a sub box today for the Sprinter van my boss has had me working on lately. It fits under the first bench seat right behind the driver. I put some goofy angles in the front and rear to try to maximize foot room. The woofer specs 1-2 cubic feet in a sealed box and I got exactly 1 cubic foot. I went ahead and added stuffing anyways. Never built one before so this was a fun new project.

@I Lean had some messed up metal that needed a new home. I put it to good use for some steps on the side of my new trailer. Drove me crazy that I had no way to access it from the side, so these came at the right time!

This is something I never knew I needed until my last trailer came with them already on it. Now Id have to add steps to any trailer without them for sure...

I got my new fuel cell this week. I went with the RCI 15 gallon "rockcrawler" version. This one should last. Anyway, I'd been looking at the Barnes 4WD mount and decided to make one. Here's my day...

Spent time cutting the various pieces. No fancy tools here. Just a grinder and hole saws. Oh yeah, and my sheet metal brake. A little paint and ready for installation. I'm happy with how it turned out but if I had it to do over again, I'd just buy the mount from Barnes - due to my lack of proper metal working tools. Not a bad way to spend the day.

Nicely done! Can’t wait to see it installed.

I found that it takes a little more than one 30lb bag of Kitty Litter and a whole roll of shop towels to soak up 5 qts of oil spilt on a garage floor when you forget to put the drain plug back in before filling the block with oil... $30 in more oil later and a trip to Walmart at 10:30pm, lesson learned.

Basically done...
Waiting on a few parts to build a better intake because the kit just has a filter clamped to the supercharger right above the exhaust, yuck.
Couldnt get an appointment until Tue for some time on the dyno for a tune though....
Soon.....
