I would recommend you be careful going the LED route. The lumen output is what's important and most LED lights really don't have impressive numbers. For reference, a 55 watt halogen low beam bulb is around 1200 lumens, and 65watt halogen high beam is about 1700 lumens, and 35 watt HID is around...

lol ya sorry it was a good idea. I had just taken this pic of the moon the other day to see how far the zoom would go, so I wondered what joopiter would look like.

and aparently 3 of its moons :eek2: This pic was taken at 64x on my point and shoot camera with a 16x optical zoom, (again) through light clouds, on a tripod.

Whoa, that's a hell of alot brighter than I thot it would be for being so far away. Wish I had a telescope :(

Here's a bump for the thread... I sent Carl some .DXF files for flanges and he got them cut out of 1/4" stainless steel (which is a little trickier than mild steel) and with a little cleanup and they turned out great and helped the project turn out nicer! Thanks Carl Finish project:

I've wasted so much money on crap meters. Finally got the meter I wanted, a really nice used fluke 83v on ebay for $100. Shoulda got it a long time ago. If you just want to check your battery voltage or track down a short in crap wire then buy a $3 HF meter.
