Heading north (provo slc) tomorrow and I will be looking at both tacomas and frontiers. I like the tacomas, but those 05 and newer frontiers are purdy to look at. I don't need a ton of aftermarket stuff for this one, probably just a lift and snorkel if I find a NISMO with a locker.
:greg:
Shot a bunch of different stuff today, but this was my favorite to shoot.
EDM Arms windrunner. Shoots a .338 Lapua round. So much fun!!! I wish i had the money for a toy like this.
My sister taking some shots:
Your settings may be on a different coord system. Go to tools; options; 3dview and check which coord system you are on. Kurt's coords are degrees, minutes, seconds. I use UTM's anytime I use a paper map, but most folks will post like Kurt does online so I tend to keep google earth set up that way.
Looking at 05 and newer 4 door, I don't see a lot about these rigs, but I haven't looked too hard yet. Good, bad, indifferent? Is it worth it to find a NISMO?
The mud in Sanpete is legendary. I've slid into trees and off the road so many times I can't count. It's still my favorite place in the world though :)
I would like to get into ariel filming a little bit. I have been looking at drones (multiple rotors on 4/6 sides) and helicopters as well. Has anybody tried this kind of stuff? what should I look for? I know heli's can be hard to fly, but the drones look much easier.
Nice photos! Just out of curiosity Dave have you ever seen an all black coyote? I came across two of what looked just like coyotes, but were all black when I was out in the desert a couple weeks ago.
Keep it on the trail. If there is mud on the trail, drive through as fast as necessary to keep momentum. It's a whole different kind of wheeling out here, lots more to explore than just a mudhole.
It doesn't have to be that far out, but like has been talked about, there needs to be a firm date with committed attendies and materials ordered from TL.
