hi, my name is ric and i found this site through a link on the pirate site. looks like these things are popular almost everywhere you go. i see that alot of you are modifing them so i would like to show what i've done to mine.

pretty much the same mods:
cut tires.
removed springs and spring buckets from front shocks.
added the limiting strap to front axle, which stopped the over extending.
relocted all four shocks.
added the pen belt tentioners.
added the washers for weight and to give it the "beadlock" look.
repaint to personalize.
cut off webbing to high clearance the frame.
removed all glass, spare tire and plastic lights.
shaved diffs.
flipped control arms.
and that's about it..

buggy flexed on the next project. oh and it will flex that much running. :D

anyone ever figure out how to make the belts last??

Where did you find the bigger tires? I have been trying to find another toy with taller tires with no luck, It kind of looks like you cut the sidewalls out and slid them on the stockers??

i had an old gravedigger that i bought at a garage sale. it's a toy that i haven't seen anywhere before, atleast a new one in the stores. the tires are just the right size to fit over the stock set. i didn't even have to cut them. the only problem is they're a bit stiff. i'm gonna try to soften them a bit by grooving them..
