    Helicopter Pilot????

I was an Army Pilot, AH-1F Cobras. When I got out in '98, I had 680 hours of flight time. I have a commercial pilots license with instrument rating. No one would hire me with less than 2,000 hours. Flight time cost $185 an hour last time I checked. I worked as an auto mechanic for 6 years, until...

    Pull-N-Save XJ D44

I was out at the Pull-N-Save off of 201 by Magna today. There was about 5 Cherokees grouped together. A couple rows north, all by itself, was a white 87 Cherokee. Underneath is a D44 rear, complete, except one brake drum is missing. I didn't spend too much time looking for the other drum. My...

    Solvent for Parts Washer

Just use mineral spirits, which you can get cheap at WalMart. It is about the same thing as stoddard solvent. If the smell bothers you, low odor is available, although about twice as expensive.

Mudflap citation for the wimpiest jeep in the family

Update...The citation states I must appear in court. I got a notice in the mail from the Murray Justice Court that says if I send them $40, they will close the case. That's what I will do. I'm going to put on flaps this weekend, even though I think it is rediculous.

Mudflap citation for the wimpiest jeep in the family

I'm not some punk kid, I'm almost 38, and clean cut. Tonight, I was driving down I-15, about 3300 south. I was in a middle lane, doing about 60 in a 65 zone. Lots of traffic was in the left 2 lanes doing 75 to 80. Highway patrol was on me in an instant, like I had robbed a bank. I was nailed...

    Wenzeled

It wasn't that funny, not by a long shot. About 2,000 guests slowed the board to a crawl over the weekend. Total waste of bandwidth.

    anyone have shop space?

So, some replies were rude (you think?).... Instead of asking for this... I'm checking to see if anyone will let me work on my jeep in their shop. I'd like access to a welder and tube bender, and preferably in provo/orem area. I need to make me some tube fenders, redo my wiring, and build...

That's almost the same as asking if anyone would be willing to loan you their wife.

    who else lives in TOOELE?

The mountains on the west side of Tooele Valley are the Stansbury range. They are part of the Wasatch Cache National Forest. There are a lot of dirt roads to explore, but not really "trails". There are a lot of places to go in the Ochre range, from the south end of Stockton around to the Five...

    What cleanes/degreasers/solvents do you use?

I use mineral spirits in my 20 gallon parts washer. For larger stuff, castrol degreaser is the best. I use it with a brush and a pressure washer.

    Chop Saw burned out...

I like the 4x6 horizontal and vertical bandsaw from HF. It does a good job with a quality blade. It is also very quiet. There are several sites on the net with improvement ideas for this saw.
